Hello everybody … now, i decide to write in English … It is good for you and it is good for me !!!!!

Here is my office!! Yes, I kown it’s not a wonderful office but it’s enough for me … but there’s a little problem … the big boss is in the same office (no, it’s not a problem, he is so cool!!) Actually, we are 4 in it: the big boss, a French trainee and another searcher who want to have the Nobel Prize!!

I work on a double sapphire oscillator. The resonator is made of sapphire. The sapphire permittivity depends on the direction!! It’s not isotropic …

In this “big bottle”, there is 25 litres of liquid nitrogen, liquid at 77°K = -196°C … so cold !!!

We have a Q factor equals to 20,000,000 at 11 GHz!! So crazy. So the bandwidth is about 2 kHz!! We use a cryostat and we cold to 77K (Liquid Nitrogen) and so it’s low noise. Perhaps Freezou, you could use it !! ;)
